Terrible fucking "Metro" service, the buses take a long time to arrive, the drivers are rude and sometimes they don't mind leaving people waiting at the bus stops

Is this really how it is? I've been driving buses for 21 years since I was 17 and I'm almost 40 and I don't recall this job being so glittery. It must just be where I drive.

Quit placing those Metro Ambassadors on a pedestal!! They are useless!! They do nothing to keep Metro safe!! They walk around all day with their cell phones while getting paid a ridiculously high wage!! When an incident happens they are never around. They are in the station breakrooms at Union Station, Rosa Parks, Wilshire Vermont, North Hollywood, and Pershing Square. At the Rosa Parks Station, they're inside the breakroom watching movies. They even brought their own collection of DVDs!! WTF!! They are obese and incompetent. They know nothing about Los Angeles and the transit system! They were brought on to deter crime. They were trained to de-escalate hostile confrontations. Yet, they don't do any of that. USELESS!! GID RID OF ALL OF THEM NOW!!

This Wiggins says “increase physical presence “ law enforcement on metro system. Pretty much what she is saying a “scare crow” presence. Law enforcement are not allowed to do their job such as issuing ticket violations and arrest and removing trouble makers from metro buses and rails. This is because of that defund the police movement.

Wiggins needs to be fired now!! Everything that she says is just blatant hypocrisy!! She enjoys being in the limelight and brown-nosing with politicians. Yet, she fails to acknowledge and thank the hardworking Metro employees under her, such as Metro custodians! I have greeted and said hello to her on three separate occasions: two during the K Line opening and one during a Christmas event at Gateway last year. She just ignored me and walked away!! That tells you what type of person Wiggins is!! She lacks leadership!! Don't expect her to do much to curb this spike in violent crimes on the Metro transit system. She, herself, does not ride Metro buses and trains!! What makes you think she understands the safety concerns of Metro riders and employees??!! Wiggins is a failure of epic proportions!!

😂😂😂😂 Metro is a joke. Just now 5/16/24 another Metro related assault made the news. That’s 5 Metro related assaults just this week. You get a big FAT “F” Metro for not keeping your riders and drivers safe. Who is in charge?

The LA Metro CEO and the LA government are really good at pointing fingers at each other, dodging their own responsibilities. But when it's time to divvy up that $900 million in federal support, poof! It vanishes in the blink of an eye for both of them.

After lounging on her $900 million federal support funding bed for months, the Metro CEO finally woke up. The K line is still delayed, projects aren't moving any faster, but she's quick to point fingers at others faster than anyone else.

Enforcement is the key, hire ticket checkers and eject the fare evaders. On my recent train ride there were more crazies and bums than paying passengers. Made me feel like an idiot for paying in the first place.

Hopefully fare enforcement will be a thing when it opens? Nobody will ride a rolling homeless shelter/insane asylum. I rode the system a few days ago and the bums outnumbered paying passengers.

How About hiring Armed Guards! Get rid of the Ambassadors! Riding the metro isn’t safe

There is one fantasy expansion map of the LA Metro that I would like to call your attention to because it does what is best for this corridor. Theoditsek.wordpress.com's Los Angeles map makes a new Vermont line by rerouting the B line from the existing Union Station subway aporoach via Hollywood Boulevard and extending the B line to both Sun Valley Metrolink stations from North Hollywood, the Century City D line Station on a second branch from Hollywood/Highland, and past Union Station via Mission to El Monte. In turn, only the D line would take the existing Union Station subway approach with a short invisible non-stop extension to a second station in the arts district, and the new Vermont line would take over and expand the Vermont stretch of the subway. Why use BRT when you can just rearrange the Vermont stretch of the subway for the new line, and extend it from Wilshire all the way to Redondo Beach after going all the way down to Rosecrans as well as through Glendale to Brand. That plus extend the converted G line all the way east to Memorial Park with a local-express interlining between the two in Brand. That's what the map shows, and I stand by it. The B line reroute would even replace buses to Dodger Stadium since it would stop there among other new destinations on the way to Union Station. All of this needs the subway, and I think that the completed Wilshire-Westwood D line extension shows what such a project can do. Sure, it costs all the money in the world, but boy is ot worth it. Let's show Metro they really can do things right!

Note that the timeline for this to be anything other than BRT is going to be ridiculous, considering funding issues and the many other projects ahead of this in the schedule. Maybe 2045 for LRT; maybe 2060 for heavy rail subway. Hence the subtle push for BRT, because that can be done relatively cheap and quickly, with rail going in a few decades from now. The only way any form of rail could happen here any quicket is to cancel something else or to find a extra billion or two or five somewhere.

This seems well intentioned, but unusable without a working phone.

Extend the Eastern terminus of the C line to the Norwalk Santa Fe Springs Metrolink station. I commute from Fullerton to Long Beach. People seriously need this extension.

I live in San Pedro, Los Angeles. I would love to see light rail come to San Pedro like it did to Long Beach. Which is why after they build BRT converted to light rail, please. and if you do use light rail, then you wouldn’t have to worry about tunneling underneath BNSF freight tracks all you would have to do is use the Vermont Bridge that goes above the BNSF freight tracks.
